Brick Brown is a premium D2C home décor and lifestyle brand. We design and sell handcrafted wooden kitchen and home accessories — rooted in Indian craft, built for the modern home, and sold across India, the US, and the UAE. We are expanding rapidly into new product categories and need a sharp sourcing person to build and manage the vendor relationships that power our product pipeline.
The Role
We are looking for a Sourcing Executive based in Gurgaon to identify, evaluate, and manage vendors across Indian craft and manufacturing clusters. This is an equal mix of field visits and desk work — you will be on the ground meeting artisans and workshops, and back at the office managing the vendor pipeline, samples, and pricing. You will work directly with the founders and the product development team.
What You Will Own
- Discover and onboard new vendors across craft clusters in India
- Field visits to workshops and manufacturing units — evaluate quality, capacity, and pricing
- Manage the end-to-end sample process — brief vendors, collect samples, track revisions
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and lead times with vendors
- Maintain a live vendor database — contacts, pricing, capacity, quality rating
- Coordinate with the product design and production teams on feasibility and timelines
- Monitor vendor performance and flag quality or delivery issues proactively
What We Need
- 3–5 years in product sourcing, procurement, or buying — home, lifestyle, handicraft, or gifting category preferred
- Comfortable with regular field travel — this is not a desk-only role
- Strong vendor negotiation skills — you can hold a price conversation confidently
- Organised and process-driven — you track samples, timelines, and costs without being reminded
- Knowledge of Indian craft or manufacturing clusters is a significant advantage
- Based in or willing to relocate to Gurgaon, NCR
Strong Fit If You Have
- Existing relationships with vendors in wood, ceramic, textile, or metal craft clusters
- Experience sourcing from Moradabad, Khurja, Panipat, Rajasthan, etc
- Worked in a D2C, export house, or premium consumer brand environment
