Job Summary
A Montessori Teacher in a CBSE school is responsible for creating a child-centered, safe, and engaging learning environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of young learners. The teacher uses Montessori principles along with CBSE early childhood education guidelines to help children develop independence, creativity, communication, and foundational academic skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate classroom activities.
- Implement Montessori teaching methods and learning materials.
- Develop foundational skills in:
- Language and communication
- Numeracy
- Practical life activities
- Sensorial learning
- Social interaction
- Encourage independent learning and self-discipline.
- Use storytelling, rhymes, games, music, and creative activities for learning.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom.
- Ensure student safety and hygiene at all times.
- Manage classroom behavior positively and patiently.
- Prepare and maintain Montessori learning materials and teaching aids.
Student Development
- Observe and assess children’s progress regularly.
- Identify learning difficulties or behavioral concerns early.
- Support emotional and social development of children.
- Maintain individual student records and portfolios.
Parent Communication
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).
- Guide parents on child development and learning practices at home.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in school events, celebrations, and training programs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators.
- Follow CBSE guidelines and school policies.
- Assist in admission interactions and orientation programs if required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Montessori Training or Early Childhood Education.
- B.Ed. (preferred in many CBSE schools).
- Good communication skills in English.

Experience

- Full-time school position.
- Typically follows CBSE school timings and academic calendar.
- Participation in school functions and activities may be required beyond classroom hours.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
