A boiler operator is a skilled worker responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting boilers and related equipment that produce steam or hot water for heating, power generation, or industrial processes.
Typical Duties
- Start up and shut down boilers safely.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption.
- Inspect equipment for leaks, wear, or malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Keep operational logs and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
