Business Development Manager (BDM) – Sales (Rice, Maize & Pulses)
Job Summary:
Seamless Speciality Foods and Beverages is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive sales of rice, maize, and pulses to distilleries, ethanol plants, poultry farms, feed manufacturers, and other industrial customers. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, achieving sales targets, and building long-term customer relationships.
Location - Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop sales opportunities with distilleries, food processing industries, feed manufacturers, and bulk commodity buyers.
- Drive sales and revenue growth for rice, maize, and pulses across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industrial clients.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and commodity price movements.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and business development plans.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to expand business networks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B sales, commodity trading, or business development, preferably in rice, maize, pulses, grains, or agri-commodities.
- Strong network within distilleries, food processing industries, ethanol plants, feed manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing, and supply chain dynamics.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and business development.
