Roles & Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling & Control: Create, maintain, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for the CNC machine shop (Turning, Milling, VMC, HMC, etc.) to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Capacity & Resource Planning: Analyse machine load, labour availability, and tooling requirements to optimize capacity and minimize machine downtime.
- Material Requirement Planning: Monitor inventory levels, track raw materials/castings/forgings, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure zero production halts due to material shortages.
- Systems Management: Maintain and update production data, Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system with high accuracy.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation including Route Cards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production logs, and Daily Production Reports. Ensure compliance with company’s quality standards.
- Coordination: Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks and expedite delayed orders.
- Continuous Improvement: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), plan vs. actual variance, and implement Lean/5S practices to reduce waste.
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience: 15-20 years in CNC Machine Shop.
- Education: Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or any related field.
- Strong understanding of production process.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
