About the Role
Computech Engineers is seeking an Endpoint Security Support Engineer to support the deployment, implementation, and post-deployment operations of enterprise Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions at customer locations. The role involves working closely with customer IT teams to ensure successful implementation, endpoint security monitoring, issue resolution, and ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions across Windows and Linux endpoints.
- Assist in migration from existing antivirus or endpoint security solutions with minimal disruption.
- Monitor endpoint health, agent status, security alerts, and policy compliance.
- Troubleshoot endpoint security issues and coordinate resolution with OEM technical support where required.
- Support integration of EDR solutions with SIEM and other security platforms.
- Perform endpoint onboarding, offboarding, policy updates, and health checks.
- Assist in incident investigation, containment, and remediation activities.
- Maintain implementation records, SOPs, incident reports, and technical documentation.
- Provide onsite technical support and coordinate with customer IT teams for smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support software upgrades, feature enablement, and OEM-recommended configuration changes.
- Participate in periodic service reviews and assist during customer audits and compliance activities.
Required Skills
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Endpoint Support, or Information Security.
- Good knowledge of Windows administration.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and Windows servers.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work directly with enterprise customers.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) or XDR solutions.
- Exposure to security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Trend Micro, Sophos, or similar products.
- Knowledge of SIEM, endpoint hardening, vulnerability management, and basic incident response.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and Windows Event Logs.
