Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Science (Physics & Chemistry)

Role Summary
The TGT Science Teacher will teach Physics and Chemistry concepts to students of Classes VI–X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical application of concepts through classroom instruction, laboratory activities, and project-based learning.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Delivery
- Teach General Science, with specialization in Physics and Chemistry, for Classes VI–X.
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with CBSE learning outcomes.
- Simplify complex scientific concepts using demonstrations, experiments, models, and real-life applications.
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
Assessment & Student Development
- Conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate notebooks, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Track student progress and provide remedial support to struggling learners.
- Encourage participation in Science Olympiads, exhibitions, fairs, and STEM activities.
Laboratory & Practical Work
- Conduct Physics and Chemistry practicals, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
- Ensure laboratory safety procedures and proper maintenance of equipment and chemicals.
- Promote inquiry-based and experiential learning.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Integrate technology, smart boards, simulations, and digital resources into teaching.
School & Parent Engagement
- Attend PTMs, staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and academic initiatives.
- Communicate student progress and developmental needs to parents.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. with Physics and Chemistry as major subjects.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- CTET/TET qualification preferred for CBSE schools.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE school preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject expertise and excellent communication skills may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Strong command of Physics and Chemistry concepts.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct practicals and laboratory activities safely.
- Proficiency in smart classroom tools and educational technology.
- Passion for mentoring and motivating young learners.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience teaching Classes VIII–X Science.
- Ability to prepare students for board examinations and competitive foundation programs.
- Active contributor to science clubs, exhibitions, and innovation projects.
