About the Internship
We are looking for enthusiastic Pharmacy students/recent graduates to support a key pharmacy transformation initiative focused on barcode implementation and inventory standardization. Interns will play a crucial role in organizing, validating, and barcoding pharmacy inventory while gaining hands-on experience in hospital pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the barcoding and labeling of pharmacy inventory.
- Verify medicine details including name, strength, dosage form, batch number, expiry date, manufacturer, and barcode accuracy.
- Support inventory cleaning, categorization, and standardization.
- Coordinate with pharmacists to validate product information.
- Update and maintain inventory records in digital systems.
- Identify duplicate, expired, or incorrect stock records.
- Assist in data entry and documentation related to pharmacy inventory.
- Ensure compliance with hospital quality standards and SOPs.
- Support periodic stock audits and reconciliation activities.
- Perform any other pharmacy project-related tasks assigned by the reporting managers.
Eligibility
- Final-year B.Pharm students, Pharm.D interns, or recent B.Pharm/M.Pharm graduates.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical products and inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with barcode systems and inventory software (preferred but not mandatory).
- Good communication and documentation skills.
