Job Summary
The Cyber Security Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training on cyber security concepts, tools, and best practices. The role involves teaching students or professionals to identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats through theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training on cyber security fundamentals and advanced topics
- Conduct hands-on labs on tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, etc.
- Train learners on network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint protection
- Explain ethical hacking concepts, penetration testing methodologies, and vulnerability assessment
- Prepare training materials, presentations, lab manuals, and assessments
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback, guidance, and mentoring
- Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends
- Support learners in certification preparation (CEH, Security+, CISSP basics, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards during training
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies
- Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner
Educational Qualifications
- Any Graduate/Any Post Graduate
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP (added advantage)
Experience
- 0–4 years of experience in cyber security or information security
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred
