About the Role:
We are seeking a Bioinformatics Intern to join our cross-functional team. You will serve as a crucial technical bridge, assisting both our software engineering and clinical teams.
Your primary focus will be on the collection, curation, and validation of biomedical datasets used to power our advanced analytical platforms. By mapping complex scientific data and verifying system outputs, you will help ensure our solutions are both technologically robust and scientifically sound.
Structure of the Role:
- Phase 1 (Month 0-6): You will join as a Bioinformatics Intern on a fixed stipend, receiving hands-on training in biological data handling and AI validation workflows.
- Phase 2 (Month 7+): Upon successful performance review, you will be converted to a Full-Time Analyst with a revised salary package and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Curation & Collection: Source, clean, and structure large-scale life sciences data to ensure they are optimized for advanced computational analysis and algorithmic processing.
- System Validation: Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate, test, and benchmark platform outputs against established biological ground truths and clinical standards.
- Data Mining & Enrichment: Extract and map relevant features from standard scientific literature and public biological databases to support internal data initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate biological concepts for software developers and assist clinical experts in navigating structured data, ensuring seamless team alignment.
What We Need (Requirements)
- Education: B.Tech or M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related computational science field.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of complex biological data structures, physiological pathways, and the broader life sciences or drug development lifecycle.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages used for data manipulation (Python or R) and a basic understanding of database querying (SQL).
- Tech-Forward Interest: A strong curiosity about advanced computational methods, data science, and how software solutions are built and validated in the life sciences space.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy when handling complex data matrices and evaluating analytical outputs.
