JOB PURPOSE:
- To manage end-to-end production and packing operations in an FMCG manufacturing environment by achieving daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while ensuring compliance with quality standards, GMP, safety norms, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on high-speed production, minimal downtime, and optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with FMCG volume targets and quality standards.
- Take complete ownership of Primary and Secondary Packing Operations, ensuring smooth line running and minimal changeover time.
- Optimize manpower deployment, machine utilization, and material availability to reduce bottlenecks and maximize line efficiency.
- Raise material indents through SAP, coordinate with the warehouse, and verify receipt as per approved BOM and indents.
- Maintain accurate records of inward and outward movement of packing materials, finished goods, and change parts.
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOPs, and hygiene standards across production and packing areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of packing lines, equipment, and surrounding areas as per FMCG food/cosmetics safety norms.
- Support and maintain Product Safety, Quality, and Compliance Systems applicable to FMCG operations.
- Train, guide, and continuously develop shop floor operators, packers, and helpers to improve productivity and reduce errors.
- Maintain production shift reports, line efficiency reports, Temp & RH records, and other statutory documentation.
- Ensure calibration and verification of weighing balances and inspection instruments used in primary packing.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules of production and packing equipment and ensure records are updated.
- Raise and track breakdown work orders and coordinate with maintenance for quick resolution to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with QA and Process teams to monitor product quality, reduce wastage, and improve yield.
- Ensure compliance with internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Create, monitor, and close SAP process orders accurately and within defined timelines.
- Manage shop floor activities across multiple lines with focus on filling, packing, labelling, and dispatch readiness.
- Ensure adherence to safety norms, shift discipline, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Adherence the Kaizen, process improvement, cost reduction, automation ideas, Manpower optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Production / Packing Operations within the FMCG industry (Food, Personal Care, Home Care, or Cosmetics Manufacturing).
