Job Summary
Responsible for fitting, assembling, and installing structural and mechanical components of ships as per drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Mark, cut, and fit plates, pipes, and structures
- Assemble hull parts, bulkheads, and deck fittings
- Perform alignment, drilling, grinding, and bolting
- Ensure proper fit-up before welding
- Follow safety procedures and report issues
Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication and shipbuilding processes
- Ability to read drawings
- Skilled in hand/power tools and measuring instruments
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma (Fitter/Mechanical)
- 2+ years experience in shipyard or heavy fabrication
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
