Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pricing Manager – Sea Freight to lead our ocean freight pricing function. The ideal candidate should have strong relationships with major shipping lines, proven experience managing a pricing team, and the ability to support business growth through competitive pricing strategies and rate negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a Sea Freight Pricing team of 5 or more members.
- Conduct weekly team reviews, monitor performance, and guide the team in converting business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, NVOCCs, and overseas agents.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers and agents to maximize profitability and win business.
- Work closely with the Sales team to support RFQs, nomination business, and customer opportunities.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations teams to resolve shipment-related issues efficiently.
- Handle rate-not-match cases and develop alternative solutions to secure business.
- Support trade lane development and identify new opportunities with carriers and agents.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations and pricing proposals.
- Monitor market trends, carrier capacity, freight rate movements, and industry developments.
- Build strong relationships with overseas agents to generate repeat business and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain pricing databases and ensure accuracy of rate sheets and carrier contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sea Freight Pricing within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- Strong network and contacts with major shipping lines and NVOCCs.
- Proven experience in managing a team of at least 5 members.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of ocean freight pricing, trade lanes, carrier contracts, and market dynamics.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and overseas agents.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Candidate should preferably be based in or willing to work from Navi Mumbai.
Preferred Background
- Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Supply Chain industry experience is mandatory.
- Experience working with freight forwarders or reputed logistics companies will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 per year
