Job Description:

Job Purpose

To ensure the quality of the finished product; purchased outside/job-worked is maintained through testing as per SOP in the Bhiwandi warehouse

Job Context & Major Challenges

In-line assessment of hand feel of the fabric sometimes becomes critical when climate changes
Often workers improvise, so advice is needed. Cross checking of the operator’s result is very important. Most fails come from dimensional stability and seam slippage, dark shade rubbing fastness, CSV. So, we need to constantly advise the production team constantly for these problems.
In manual tests, there is a scope of error. The experience is more important, rather than precision.
Deciding on whether to send the outsourced material back to supplier or mend it in the plant is a challenge because of undecidability on costs and time involved.

Testing and Inspection

Ensuring correct testing and inspection of outsourced good and identifying defects of print (digital print, discharge print, handprint) like dagi, stain, shade match, white spot, etc., and defects of embroidery like missing of motif, wrong design, hole created.

Sharing the reports of material to the required team

KRA2

Timely Delivery

Chasing the vendor for timely delivery. Meeting the vendors for defects (why it happened, how can it be mended, for both printing and embroidery etc. Training the vendors and follow up for constant improvement.)

Dispatch of correct material

Ensure correct material is dispatched from vendor.

To get corrected the rejected material

Ensure re-testing of correct material before dispatch
