Commercial Kitchen Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Kitchen Designer to design efficient, functional, and compliant commercial kitchen layouts for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, cafeterias, cloud kitchens, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong design capabilities, technical knowledge of kitchen equipment, and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning
- Prepare commercial kitchen layouts based on client requirements and project specifications.
- Design efficient workflow plans considering food preparation, cooking, washing, storage, and service areas.
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings, equipment layouts, and detailed kitchen plans.
- Ensure designs comply with operational, safety, hygiene, and industry standards.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, MEP teams, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and collect project requirements.
- Provide technical support during project execution and installation.
- Assist the sales team in understanding project requirements and preparing proposals.
Equipment Planning
- Select and specify appropriate commercial kitchen equipment based on project needs.
- Prepare equipment schedules, utility requirements, and technical specifications.
- Ensure proper space planning and equipment integration within the kitchen layout.
Estimation & Documentation
- Prepare design drawings, BOQs, equipment lists, and project documentation.
- Support quotation preparation and project costing activities.
- Maintain accurate design records and project files.
Client Interaction
- Present design concepts and layout proposals to clients.
- Incorporate client feedback and revise designs accordingly.
- Provide technical clarifications during project discussions and meetings.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Commercial Kitchen Design.
- Experience in hotel, restaurant, institutional kitchen, hospitality, or food service projects preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and industry standards is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in commercial kitchen equipment companies.
- Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication and kitchen utility requirements.
- Familiarity with hospitality and food service industry standards.
