About the role
Kriyative International School is looking for a Primary Mathematics Teacher for Grades 1 to 5 who believes children learn maths best by doing, discussing and discovering — not by copying from the board. Our primary programme follows the Cambridge curriculum pathway leading into IGCSE, and we are looking for someone who can build genuine number sense and confidence in our youngest learners.
If you are the teacher whose classroom is full of counters, number talks, group problem-solving and the occasional productive mess, we would like to meet you.
What you will do
- Plan and teach engaging Mathematics lessons for Grades 1–5 in line with Cambridge Primary Mathematics objectives
- Use active learning approaches as your default: concrete–pictorial–abstract progression, manipulatives, maths games, investigations, hands-on tasks and collaborative problem-solving
- Facilitate rich mathematical discussion — get children explaining their reasoning, not just producing answers
- Differentiate lessons so that struggling learners are supported and confident learners are stretched
- Use formative assessment (observation, questioning, exit tickets, low-stakes quizzes) to adjust teaching, and maintain clear records of student progress
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, learning resources and assessments aligned to curriculum outcomes
- Integrate maths with real-life contexts and, where appropriate, with other subjects and classroom technology
- Communicate progress and concerns to parents through meetings and written reports
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom where mistakes are treated as part of learning
- Contribute to maths week, olympiads, activity days, assemblies and other school events
- Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
