QA Automation Engineer – ERP Testing (Python / Pytest)
Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer / ERP Tester with a strong software development background. In this role, you won't just be executing tests—you will be designing, building, and maintaining our automated testing frameworks from scratch. Please note: This is not a manual testing role. We need someone who can write clean, scalable Python code and leverage Pytest to ensure our ERP systems run flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Development: Build, maintain, and extend robust test automation frameworks specifically for complex ERP workflows using Python and Pytest.
- Test Automation: Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient automation scripts (handling end-to-end integration, regression, and data-driven testing).
- Code Reviews & Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to understand architectural changes, review code, and ensure testability.
- Bug Diagnostics: Dig into the codebase to identify, reproduce, and help debug complex system failures rather than just reporting superficial UI bugs.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Software Development Background: Deep, practical knowledge of Python (OOP concepts, data structures, and clean coding practices).
- Pytest Expertise: Advanced experience using Pytest (fixtures, parameterization, plugins, and writing custom markers).
- ERP Domain Experience: Proven track record testing complex enterprise software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Odoo, or custom in-house ERPs) and handling intricate business logic.
- No Manual Bias: A mindset geared entirely toward automation, scripting, and eliminating repetitive manual tasks.
- Tools & Tech: Experience with Git, SQL (for data validation), and CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
Pay: ₹324,578.73 - ₹1,402,805.29 per year
