Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled TGT English teacher to handle middle and secondary classes (Grades VIII to IX) under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong language proficiency, a flair for literature, and the ability to build students’ reading, writing, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to Grades VIII to IX in alignment with the CBSE curriculum
- Develop lesson plans focusing on grammar, literature, and language skills
- Encourage reading habits, creative writing, and spoken English proficiency
- Conduct regular assessments, assignments, and evaluations
- Support students in improving comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills
- Prepare students for school exams and board-level expectations (Grade X)
- Maintain student records and academic progress reports
- Participate in parent interactions and academic meetings
- Organize and contribute to literary activities (debates, elocution, drama, etc.)
- Collaborate with faculty members for curriculum planning and execution
- Contribute to overall student development and school initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English (mandatory)
- B.Ed. (preferred / mandatory as per CBSE norms)
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (middle/secondary grades)
- Experience with CBSE curriculum is highly preferred
Skills Required
- Strong command over English language (spoken and written)
- Ability to teach grammar, literature, and writing effectively
- Excellent communication and classroom engagement skills
- Good classroom management abilities
- Student-centric and activity-based teaching approach
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools and methods
- Kannada language proficiency is an advantage
