Hotel Rio Benares is seeking a passionate and energetic Commi 3 Chef to join our culinary team. This entry-level position is perfect for fresh graduates, interns, or candidates with early culinary experience who specialize in Continental cuisine. You will work under the guidance of our senior chefs to prepare high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen hygiene, and learn advanced culinary techniques in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Assist in daily culinary prep work (mise en place) including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats for Continental dishes.
- Cooking Assistance: Help prepare, cook, and present Continental menu items according to established hotel standards and recipes.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards across all work stations and food storage areas.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, handle food items carefully to minimize wastage, and report shortages to the senior chef.
- Team Collaboration: Work smoothly with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and smooth service during peak hours.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related catering course.
- Experience Level: Open to Freshers, Interns, or candidates with up to 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Culinary Focus: Strong interest and basic knowledge of Continental cuisine (pastas, steaks, salads, continental sauces, etc.).
- Skills: Basic knife skills, familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, good physical stamina for long shifts, and strong teamwork skills.
