Deputy Country Manager (India) – Supply Chain & Operations
Position Overview
The Deputy Country Manager will be responsible for leading key operational functions including:
- Supply Chain
- Order Processing
- Quality Control (QC)
- Compliance
- Master Data
- Logistics
The role will work closely with the Country Manager and Denmark Head Office to ensure operational excellence, process efficiency, and on-time execution across all functions.
In the absence of the Country Manager, the Deputy Country Manager will act as the second-in-command and be responsible for managing day-to-day operational decisions and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Supply Chain, Order Processing, QC, Compliance, Master Data, and Logistics teams.
- Ensure smooth execution from order processing through shipment delivery.
- Drive operational efficiency, process improvements, and KPI achievement.
- Monitor critical path timelines and ensure on-time delivery performance.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance standards are maintained.
- Manage and develop cross-functional teams through team leaders.
- Drive recruitment, talent development, and succession planning across assigned departments.
- Identify operational risks, escalate critical issues, and implement corrective actions.
Candidate Profile
- 10–12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Sourcing, Merchandising, or Manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing multiple functions and leading teams through managers or team leaders.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Supply Chain
- Order Management
- Logistics
- Quality
- Compliance processes
- Experience in Home Textile, Home Décor, Lifestyle Products, Apparel, and Export-oriented businesses is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with international customers or global organizations is an advantage.
- ERP/Business Systems exposure is preferred.
