Position – Highway Engineer
Desired Profile - We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Highway Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in highway design, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), road safety assessment, and project coordination. The role demands excellent technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative environment.
Education and Qualification – M.Tech in Transportation Engineering (NIT – PREFERRABLE)
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Highway Design:
Assist in the development of geometric design for highways, including horizontal/vertical
alignment, cross-sections, and junction/intersection layout.
Ensure compliance with IRC standards, MoRTH guidelines, and project-specific criteria.
Collaborate with design specialists and prepare detailed engineering drawings using relevant design software.
2. DPR (Detailed Project Report) Preparation:
Prepare comprehensive DPRs covering all technical aspects, design rationale, surveys, and supporting studies.
Draft design reports, drawings, BOQs, and supporting technical documents required for client review and approvals.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and client requirements.
3. Road Safety Assessment:
Conduct road safety inspections and identify potential hazards on existing or proposed road corridors.
Contribute to Road Safety Audit (RSA) reports, including risk classification and recommended improvement measures.
Integrate road safety considerations into design, planning, and project implementation stages.
4. Project Coordination:
Coordinate with internal design teams, field teams, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project timelines, documentation, submissions, and communication flow across stakeholders.
Support field visits, surveys, data collection, and technical discussions during various project phases.
Required Qualifications:
M.Tech in Transportation Engineering (mandatory).
3–5 years of relevant experience in highway design, DPR preparation, road safety assessment,
and project coordination.
Proficiency in road design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
Strong understanding of highway engineering standards including IRC codes, MoRTH
specifications, and best industry practices.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience: - 3 to 5 years
Salary Range: - To be finalized post-interview, based on qualifications, experience, and prevailing market standards
Location: - Vadodara, Gujarat (however, the candidate shall be willing to travel all over India as and when required depending on project requirement)
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
