Role Overview
The Mother Teacher cum English Teacher will be responsible for nurturing and educating Grade 1 students by creating a safe, engaging, and child-friendly learning environment. The teacher will deliver English lessons while managing the overall academic, emotional, and social development of the assigned class.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Grade 1 students.
- Develop students' reading, writing, phonics, vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills.
- Act as the Mother Teacher by managing the overall classroom, student well-being, and daily classroom routines.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to parents during PTMs.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and child-centric teaching methods.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and academic documentation.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. – Mandatory.
- Graduation with English as a subject – Preferred.
- CTET (Paper I) – Preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Primary School preferred.
- Experience teaching Grade 1 or early primary classes will be an added advantage.
Skills
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Sound knowledge of phonics and foundational English.
- Child-centric and activity-based teaching approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching tools.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
