About the Role
Nexbuzz is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET2) to work closely with the Fynd commerce platform ecosystem, supporting enterprise ecommerce, retail technology, and omnichannel commerce implementations.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both manual and automation testing, along with hands-on experience building automation frameworks, API testing, defect analysis, and ensuring high-quality software releases across complex commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium.
- Perform manual and automated testing across web applications, APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
- Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks and reusable test suites.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation coverage strategies.
- Conduct API testing and validation using Postman or similar tools.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Investigate defects through log analysis, API validation, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and maintain QA documentation, reports, and release sign-offs.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve testing productivity and quality.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and API testing.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API validation.
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation and data verification.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in ecommerce, retail technology, SaaS, or commerce platforms.
- Experience implementing UI and API automation frameworks from scratch.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with performance, load, or stress testing.
- Familiarity with Docker, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Exposure to BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Selenium Grid, or similar testing platforms.
- Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools.
