About the Role
Optio Marine Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Piping Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in the marine/shipbuilding industry to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have experience in marine piping design, engineering documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop marine piping systems for newbuilding, retrofit, conversion, and ship repair projects.
- Prepare P&IDs, piping layouts, isometric drawings, and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
- Develop and review 3D piping models.
- Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC teams.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with Classification Society Rules and IMO regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation and support Class approval processes.
- Provide engineering support during construction and installation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–4 years of experience in marine piping engineering.
- Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, retrofit, or offshore engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and marine design software such as AVEVA Marine, Cadmatic, ShipConstructor, SmartMarine 3D, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Classification Society Rules (ABS, DNV, LR, BV, IRS) and IMO regulations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
