We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Legal (CLM) to manage and drive a high-performing contract management team. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, turnaround time, and stakeholder satisfaction across the end-to-end contract lifecycle, while also building team capability and process excellence.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal associates handling contract drafting, review, abstraction, and negotiation support.

Define KPIs, monitor productivity and quality, and ensure timely delivery within SLAs.

Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance legal and operational capability.

Act as the first point of escalation for complex contract issues and stakeholder concerns.

Oversee the complete lifecycle of commercial contracts including drafting, redlining, negotiation support, execution, renewals, and termination.

Ensure compliance with client playbooks, internal policies, SLAs, and legal best practices.

Drive effective adoption and usage of CLM tools such as Icertis, DocuSign, Ironclad, LinkSquares, or similar platforms.

Partner with internal business teams and external clients to ensure smooth contract execution.

Participate in client discussions, provide status updates, and resolve contract-related queries proactively.

Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and template optimization within the CLM function.

Maintain up-to-date SOPs, playbooks, and documentation for team reference and compliance.

Identify legal and commercial risks within contracts and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Ensure adherence to applicable laws, organizational policies, and client-specific requirements.

LLB or equivalent law degree from a reputed institution.

5–7 years of legal experience with minimum 2 years in a team leadership role.

Strong hands-on experience in commercial contracts (SaaS, Procurement, NDA, MSA, SOW, etc.).

Experience working with CLM tools (Icertis, DocuSign, Ironclad, LinkSquares preferred).

Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and lead in a fast-paced environment.
