Product Manager - Paperless IPD / Hospital Digitisation
Mumbai | Full-Time | Work from Office
Docterz Health Tech Labs is looking for a hands-on Product Manager to lead the development of our next-generation Paperless IPD platform. Our goal is ambitious but simple: enable hospitals to manage the complete inpatient journey digitally—from admission to discharge - with minimal dependence on paper.
What You’ll Own
You will take end-to-end product ownership of workflows including:
* Admission, transfer and discharge
* Doctor orders and clinical documentation
* Nursing notes, charts and handovers
* Vitals and monitoring charts
* Medication Administration Record (MAR)
* IPD prescriptions and medication orders
* Lab and radiology orders
* OT and procedure documentation
* ICU/NICU/PICU workflows
* Consent forms and digital signatures
* Pharmacy, billing and consumables
* Discharge summaries
* Clinical alerts, tasks and audit trails
What You’ll Do
* Spend time inside hospitals understanding how doctors, nurses and administrators actually work.
* Convert complex paper-based processes into simple, intuitive digital workflows.
* Own product discovery, roadmap and prioritisation.
* Create PRDs, workflows, wireframes and clear specifications for engineering.
* Work closely with UI/UX, engineering, QA and implementation teams.
* Conduct user testing with doctors and nurses.
* Lead hospital pilots and observe actual usage on the floor.
* Build workflows capable of functioning reliably even with intermittent internet connectivity.
* Use product data and frontline feedback to continuously improve adoption and usability.
Who We’re Looking For
* 3–7 years of Product Management / Business Analysis / HealthTech product experience.
* Prior experience with HIS/HMIS/EMR/IPD/clinical software is strongly preferred.
* Strong understanding of hospital workflows would be a major advantage.
* Comfortable interacting directly with doctors, nurses and hospital administrators.
* Ability to translate complex clinical processes into simple product experiences.
* Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to visit hospitals regularly during product discovery and implementation.
How We Define Success
Not by the number of features shipped.
Success is when doctors and nurses actually use the product- and a hospital can run its inpatient operations digitally with significantly less paper.
If you have built hospital, EMR, HIS or clinical workflow products and enjoy solving real-world healthcare problems, we’d love to speak with you.
