About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager with experience in the drone, aerospace, and aviation industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth across B2G (Business-to-Government) and B2B segments by identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and managing end-to-end sales activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong industry connections, understanding of government procurement processes, and experience in handling aviation or drone-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the drone, aerospace, aviation, and defense sectors.
Drive sales growth through B2G and B2B channels across India.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, PSUs, defense organizations, aviation companies, industrial clients, and channel partners.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients.
Participate in government tenders, GEM portal opportunities, RFPs, EOIs, and procurement processes.
Coordinate with technical and operations teams for proposal submissions and project execution.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify emerging opportunities in UAV/drone applications.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking forums.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and MIS reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
5+ years of experience in Sales & Business Development within the drone, aerospace, aviation, or defense industry.
Proven experience in handling B2G and B2B sales.
Strong understanding of drone technologies, UAV applications, aviation ecosystem, and government procurement systems.
Experience with GEM portal, tenders, and government bidding processes preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively across India as required.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with prior experience in:
Drone/UAV companies
Aviation & aerospace sector
Defense & surveillance solutions
GIS, mapping, industrial inspection, or agri-drone solutions
Government project sales will be preferred.
