Job Description:
We are looking for a CAE Engineer with hands-on experience in explicit dynamics simulations using ANSYS to support defense-related simulation projects. The role involves working on high-strain rate phenomena and transient dynamic events relevant to armament systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform explicit dynamics simulations using ANSYS (Autodyn or LS-DYNA) for:
- Concrete penetration by projectiles at subsonic to supersonic speeds.
-
Metallic and non-metallic plate perforation by high-velocity fragments.
-
Shaped charge jet formation and penetration.
-
Blast wave propagation in air and underwater environments.
-
Fragmentation analysis of thin and thick shells.
-
Execute pre-processing, simulation, and post-processing tasks independently.
-
Interpret simulation results and assist in design optimization.
-
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
-
Collaborate with customer to refine simulation models and validate results.
Required Qualifications:
-
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
-
1 Year to 4 year of experience in explicit dynamics simulations using ANSYS or similar commercial FEA tools.
-
Strong understanding of:
- Solid mechanics and finite element analysis (FEA).
-
Material behavior under high strain rates.
-
Transient dynamic events and shock physics.
