Clinical Associate – Radiology

Position OverviewThe Clinical Associate will assist and collaborate with radiologists and technologists to perform, interpret, and manage diagnostic imaging procedures. This role ensures high-quality imaging, strict adherence to safety standards, and optimal patient care across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Imaging & Procedures
- Assist in conducting and interpreting various diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and Ultrasounds (USG).
- Prepare and position patients for radiological examinations, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and functioning of imaging machines before and during procedures.
2. Clinical Reporting & Consultation
- Review images for clarity and provide preliminary observations to the senior radiologist.
- Collect, organize, and summarize clinical data for sub-specialty radiologists.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to communicate imaging plans and patient findings.
3. Patient Safety & Compliance
- Maintain radiation safety standards and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate patient records, confidentially document medical histories, and prepare imaging reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: MBBS, MD, or DNB in Radiology. (Valid registration with the relevant state medical council is mandatory).
- Experience: 0 - 5 years of post-graduate clinical or hospital experience. Fresh post-graduates are often considered for associate roles.
- Skills: Strong anatomical knowledge, proficiency in operating medical imaging hardware, and excellent communication skills.
