Freelance Academic Experts – UK Curriculum Chinese History & Geography (KS3–KS5)About the Project
eQOURSE is developing high-quality, UK curriculum-aligned Chinese History and Geography content for KS3, KS4/IGCSE, and KS5/A-Level. We are hiring experienced freelancers across three hierarchical levels for this ongoing project. Content must be academically accurate, specification-aligned, written in standard British English, and ready for client delivery.
Available Roles
- SME Reviewer: Conducts the first-level detailed academic review of AI-generated questions, answers, explanations, and metadata. Corrects errors directly and ensures baseline curriculum alignment.
- Subject Head: Performs second-level quality assurance, manages SME output, resolves academic disagreements, and ensures curriculum progression across Key Stages.
- Academic Department Head: Serves as the final internal authority and delivery gatekeeper. Oversees AI workflows, calibrates teams, and gives final sign-off before client delivery.
Key Responsibilities (All Roles)
- Content Validation: Review and refine questions, answers, mark schemes, and explanations for absolute factual and conceptual accuracy.
- Curriculum Alignment: Ensure all content matches UK exam board specifications (Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, OxfordAQA) and age-appropriate difficulty levels.
- Asset & Visual Quality: Validate and correct maps, timelines, diagrams, case studies, and source materials.
- Editorial Standards: Maintain strict adherence to standard British English, eliminating bias, weak sourcing, or tagging errors.
- Workflow Collaboration: Work within a tiered review structure (SME $\rightarrow$ Subject Head $\rightarrow$ Department Head) to meet strict project deadlines.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Education, or a related Social Sciences discipline (Higher degree preferred for leadership roles).
- Experience: Proven background in academic content review, teaching, curriculum design, or educational publishing. Experience leading reviewer teams is required for Head roles.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong familiarity with UK curriculum expectations across KS3, KS4, and/or KS5. Knowledge of Chinese history or geography is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Comfort with AI-assisted content workflows and digital editing.
Mandatory Commitment
- Availability of 4–5 hours per day for a long-term commitment.
- Willingness to complete a screening task and sign an NDA.
