Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment, maintenance, and characterization of diet-induced NAFLD/MASLD animal models.
- Perform biochemical assays related to liver function, lipid metabolism, glucose metabolism, oxidative stress, and inflammatory markers.
- Conduct ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, spectrophotometric assays, and immunological techniques.
- Assist in sample preparation for metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses.
- Support metabolite extraction and preparation of samples for LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, or related metabolomic platforms.
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of metabolomic and transcriptomic datasets.
- Support integration of multi-omics data for identifying molecular pathways and disease mechanisms associated with NAFLD/MASLD.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software for omics data analysis will be desirable.
Essential Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline from a recognized university with 2 years of relevant experience.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of NAFLD/MASLD, metabolic disorders, liver physiology, and animal disease models.
- Background knowledge of metabolomics, including metabolite extraction, metabolite profiling, LC-MS/MS or GC-MS workflows, and metabolomic data interpretation.
- Background knowledge of transcriptomics, including RNA isolation, RNA quality assessment, RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), gene expression analysis, and transcriptomic data interpretation.
- Familiarity with multi-omics approaches and integration of metabolomics and transcriptomics datasets for translational research.
- Basic understanding of bioinformatics and statistical analysis tools such as MetaboAnalyst, DESeq2, EdgeR, R, Python, GraphPad Prism, or equivalent software.
- At least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal is desirable.
