Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Lead Content Researcher to lead our content research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the research function across multiple YouTube channels, identifying scalable content opportunities, building high-performing research systems, mentoring researchers, and driving channel growth through data-backed content strategy and audience insights. This role requires a strong understanding of YouTube content strategy, audience psychology, storytelling, and trend forecasting.
Role & Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
- Identify emerging trends, viral topics, and untapped content opportunities.
- Work closely with Script Writers, Creative Leads, Channel Managers, and Founders to build content pipelines.
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis, identify content gaps, track industry trends, and recommend actionable opportunities to outperform competitors.
- Develop monthly and quarterly content research roadmaps.
- Recommend content formats, storytelling approaches, and audience engagement strategies.
- Own the content opportunity pipeline and contribute directly to channel growth by identifying high-performing topics, formats, and audience trends.
- Monitor content performance and derive actionable insights.
- Conduct post-publication content analysis.
- Identify patterns in high-performing and underperforming content.
- Create periodic reports on channel growth, audience behavior, and content performance.
- Use YouTube Analytics and market research to improve content strategy.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations across multiple content niches.
- Validate information from multiple credible sources.
- Design and implement scalable research systems, databases, and SOPs to improve team efficiency and research quality.
- Develop frameworks for faster and more efficient content discovery.
- Ensure all content meets factual accuracy standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of researchers by setting performance expectations, conducting coaching sessions, and fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and excellence.
- Review research outputs and ensure accuracy, depth, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions and performance reviews.
- Train new researchers on research methodologies and content frameworks.
- Allocate research projects and manage team workloads.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training researchers to strengthen the research team.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, English, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in content research, digital media, journalism, or YouTube content strategy, with a proven track record of contributing to high-performing content.
- At least 1-2 years of experience leading or mentoring a team.
- Proven experience working with YouTube content, digital publishing, or media organizations.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful research-led content projects.
- Experience managing research workflows and content planning processes.
- Familiarity with AI-powered research tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced digital media environment.
- Understanding of SEO, audience retention, and content monetization strategies.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
