Position- Nursing Supervisor
Requirement of Qualification and experience :
- GNM/B.Sc Nursing and (M.Sc Nursing preferred).
- Registered with the Maharashtra Nursing Council.
- Minimum 10-12 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient safety, and nursing protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry, analysis, and report preparation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (morning, evening, night, weekends, and holidays).
To supervise and coordinate nursing activities in assigned wards or departments to ensure delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care. The Nurse Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining daily hospital data, updating reports, and supporting digital documentation processes. The position requires flexibility with rotational shifts to ensure round-the-clock nursing supervision.
1. Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities within assigned wards and departments.
2. Ensure adequate staffing and proper allocation of nurses based on patient load and acuity.
3. Monitor and evaluate nursing performance to maintain high standards of care and discipline.
4. Conduct regular ward rounds to ensure quality patient care, hygiene, and documentation compliance.
5. Maintain effective communication between nursing staff, doctors, and allied departments.
6. Ensure implementation of nursing policies, SOPs, and hospital protocols at all levels.
7. Verify that medication administration, vital monitoring, and nursing procedures are carried out correctly.
8. Facilitate and monitor infection control practices and ensure adherence to hospital guidelines.
9. Support and guide staff nurses and nursing assistants in performing their duties effectively.
10. Address and resolve patient and family concerns promptly with professionalism.
11. Maintain updated ward data, census, and daily activity reports for submission to the Nursing Superintendent.
12. Ensure timely reporting of incidents, adverse events, and equipment malfunction to higher authorities.
13. Supervise proper maintenance and utilization of equipment and materials in all nursing units.
14. Conduct regular nursing audits and participate in quality assurance and accreditation activities.
15. Coordinate induction and on-the-job training for new nursing staff.
16. Participate in disciplinary actions, grievance redressal, and appraisal processes when required.
17. Promote teamwork, motivation, and a positive work culture among nursing personnel.
18. Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation, infection control, and environmental hygiene.
19. Monitor stock levels and ensure timely requisition and utilization of supplies.
20. Support emergency preparedness, mock drills, and disaster management activities.
21. Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
22. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Nursing Superintendent or higher management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
