Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves delivering first and second level technical assistance for infrastructure, systems, and applications across both production and development settings. This role requires working closely with users and clients to identify and resolve issues efficiently, whether remotely or onsite. The practitioner follows established operational procedures to maintain service stability and quality, ensuring smooth functioning of various technology platforms. Collaboration with different teams and adherence to defined processes are key aspects of daily activities, aimed at providing reliable and timely support.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business needs.
- Monitor and report on system performance and incident trends to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Db2, IBM z/OS.
- In-depth knowledge of DB2 for z/OS, SQL,SPUFI, IBM Data Studio, CA Tools For DB2 (RC Query, Migrator, Log Analyzer, etc), BMC Utilities, CA Utilities, IBM Utilities, File Manager For DB2, InfoSphere CDC
- Mainframe Technologies: Z/OS, JCL, REXX, CLIST, ESP scheduler
- Performance Monitoring Tools: IBM OMEGAMON, CA Thread Terminator, IBM Query Monitor, IBM Tivoli Enterprise Portal, Dynatrace, (other monitoring software is owned but not implemented at the moment ex Detector/Subsystem Analyzer)
- Version Control Systems: .Changeman
- Security Tools: RACF
- Operating Systems: Z/OS
- DB2 System Version: V12M510 & V13M100
- Scripting Languages: REXX, JCL, CLIST
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex database issues.
- Security Awareness: Understanding of database security principles and practices.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of database management and troubleshooting within enterprise environments.
- Experience in supporting infrastructure components including operating systems and network platforms.
- Familiarity with incident management and service delivery frameworks.
- Effective communication skills to interact with users, clients, and cross-functional teams.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Db2.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- Work in 24/7 operations support.
