We are looking for a results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations within a designated territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing channel partners and distributors, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships. This role requires excellent leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives within the assigned territory.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to develop effective sales plans.
- Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals.
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure product availability, visibility, and customer satisfaction.
- Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy business relationships with customers.
- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and other internal teams to ensure smooth business operations.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide effective after-sales support when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Durables, Telecom, Retail, or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales territory.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
