We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounts professional to support the company's accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in end-to-end accounting, direct and indirect tax compliances, audits, and financial controls, along with hands-on experience in Zoho Books and QuickBooks.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and provisions.
- Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and accounting schedules.
Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance
- Handle GST compliance including return filing, reconciliations, and assessments.
- Manage TDS compliance, return filing, and related reconciliations.
- Support income tax compliance and tax audits.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities on taxation matters.
- Ensure timely compliance with all applicable statutory requirements.
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
- Prepare schedules, supporting documents, and audit-related information.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor receivables and follow up on collections.
- Manage vendor payments and working capital requirements.
- Review invoices, expense claims, and payment documentation.
ERP & Process Management
- Maintain accounting records in Zoho Books and QuickBooks.
- Improve finance processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
- Support automation initiatives within the finance function.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a startup, technology, SaaS, healthcare, or high-growth environment.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting and international transactions.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
- Experience handling audits and compliance-related activities.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books and QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications:
· Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter/IPCC cleared)
· B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Finance & Accounting
