Supplier Quality Engineer – Auxiliary Systems / Fabrications
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supplier Quality Engineer located in Pune or Naroda supporting development of suppliers providing components/systems to local & global SE locations for Compressor, H2 Electrolyzer Systems, Small Steam Turbine & Industrial Generator Auxiliaries including skids & components, piping, heat exchangers, 3rd party packaging & other fabrications.
- Supplier Qualification – support on-boarding of new suppliers by performing supplier capability analysis, audits and risk assessments. Perform re-qualification of existing suppliers per Siemens Energy’s (SE) Supplier Quality guidelines.
- Product and Process Qualification – Lead cross-functional teams to quality suppliers to consistently provide cluster of products according to applicable guidelines and requirements.
- Supplier Development – initiate and implement pro-active and re-active supplier quality improvement measures using quantitative and qualitative performance metrics. Support root cause analysis, corrective / preventive measures at supplier for known quality issues. Utilize Risk Management Methodologies to prevent supplier non-conformances & issues.
- Plan & Implement Supplier Quality Assurance measures during entire supplier lifecycle (qualification + ongoing business) to ensure Supply Chain Resiliency
- Active member supporting Procurement and Business initiatives - Localization, Local 4 Global and Sourcing Strategy Development
What You Bring
- Experience as design engineer, quality engineer or manufacturing engineer required. Practical manufacturing experience and know-how with related scope required. CWI/IWE and NDT expereince preferred.
- Working experience in technical functions in the Energy, Oil & Gas or related industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or higher, in engineering related major with 10years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality.
- Lead Auditor experience or certification preferred.
- Initiative, results & solution orientation and strong analytical thinking required. Digital skills a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience working in a global environment.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies
- Willingness to travel ~30%. Project Management Experience preferred
