About the Role
Gopalan Enterprises is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architect with experience in commercial real estate projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architectural planning, design coordination, project execution, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations for large-scale commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed drawings for commercial real estate projects.
- Coordinate with consultants, structural engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure project designs comply with local building regulations, zoning requirements, and safety standards.
- Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Manage design changes and provide technical solutions during project execution.
- Coordinate approvals and submissions with relevant authorities.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of architectural milestones and project documentation.
- Collaborate with leasing, marketing, and business teams to align designs with commercial objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial real estate, office spaces, mixed-use developments, or large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methodologies, and project management.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in commercial office developments, IT parks, business parks, malls, or mixed-use projects.
- Exposure to projects exceeding 1 million sq. ft. is preferred.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards is an advantage.
