Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly Planning & Execution
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly assembly production planning and execution.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Optimize manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
- Monitor production performance and take corrective actions to achieve production targets.
- Coordinate with Machine Shop, Stores, Quality, Purchase, and Planning teams for smooth production flow.
- Ensure line balancing and efficient assembly operations.
2. Daily Work Management (DWM)
- Drive Daily Work Management (DWM) across assembly operations.
- Conduct daily production review meetings and shift handovers.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions.
- Review production losses, downtime, and bottlenecks on a daily basis.
- Ensure effective visual management and adherence to standard work practices.
- Drive accountability through structured performance reviews.
3. Problem Solving
- Lead root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Resolve production, quality, and process-related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring issues.
- Support cross-functional teams in resolving operational challenges.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor supervisors, engineers, and operators.
- Develop team capability through coaching and skill development.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor manpower productivity and performance.
5. Operational Excellence
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Waste Reduction initiatives.
- Improve productivity, cycle time, and assembly efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and implement improvement actions.
6. Quality & Safety
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and assembly procedures.
- Support first-pass yield improvements and defect reduction initiatives.
- Promote zero-accident and zero-defect culture.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
