About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Controller (QC) to ensure that all fresh food products meet Lo Fresh Foods' quality, hygiene, and food safety standards. The role involves monitoring kitchen operations, maintaining product consistency, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and supporting continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality & Food Safety
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
- Ensure all food is prepared, packed, and dispatched as per company SOPs.
- Monitor product quality, taste, texture, appearance, and portion consistency.
- Verify food temperatures during cooking, holding, and dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and food safety guidelines.
Kitchen Operations
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices across the kitchen.
- Ensure chefs and kitchen staff follow personal hygiene and GMP standards.
- Conduct pre-dispatch quality inspections before orders leave the kitchen.
- Report and escalate quality deviations immediately.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues.
Documentation & Audits
- Maintain daily QC checklists and quality records.
- Record non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Support internal and external food safety audits.
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation logs are completed accurately.
Inventory & Compliance
- Check expiry dates and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
- Inspect storage conditions of raw materials and finished products.
- Identify and segregate damaged or non-compliant products.
- Minimize food wastage through timely quality monitoring.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Understanding of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, and SOP compliance.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control within Fresh Food, Cloud Kitchen, QSR, Catering, or FMCG.
- Freshers with relevant educational backgrounds and internships may also apply.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in cloud kitchens or central kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with temperature monitoring, hygiene audits, and quality documentation.
- Hands-on knowledge of food production and dispatch processes.
