Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, GST regulations, and statutory compliance requirements relevant to the construction industry. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and supporting the financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations - Handle GST compliance, including return filing, input tax credit reconciliation, and audits - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as TDS, PF, ESI, and other applicable regulations - Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly/annual closing reports - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes - Monitor project-wise costing and budgeting for construction activities - Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities - Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management - Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/Inter CA preferred) - Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and high level of accuracy - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Requirements: - Experience handling construction project accounts - Familiarity with contract accounting and cost tracking - Knowledge of audit procedures and compliance frameworks What We Offer: - Competitive salary and benefits - Growth opportunities within the organization - Supportive and professional work environment
