We are looking for a detail-oriented XML Specialist to join our data processing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining XML schemas, performing complex data conversions, and ensuring that all data outputs meet international quality standards. You will work closely with the operations team to automate data workflows and transform raw information into structured, searchable formats. Key Responsibilities Schema Development: Design and implement DTD (Document Type Definition) and XSD (XML Schema Definition) based on client requirements. Data Transformation: Utilize XSLT to transform XML data into various formats (HTML, PDF, Text, or other XML structures). Quality Assurance: Validate XML files against schemas to ensure well-formedness and structural accuracy. Parsing & Extraction: Use XPath and XQuery to navigate and extract specific data points from large-scale datasets. Workflow Automation: Develop scripts to automate the conversion of legacy data (PDF, Word, Hard copies) into structured XML. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve errors in XML tagging and structural hierarchies. Technical Skills & Qualifications Core Languages: Expert knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, and XSD/DTD. Tools: Proficiency in XML editors such as Oxygen XML Editor, XMLSpy, or Notepad++. Data Handling: Experience in converting PDF/Image files to XML (OCR integration experience is a plus). Coding: Basic knowledge of Python or Perl for data manipulation is highly preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in XML tagging or data conversion roles.
