JOB DESCRIPTION — RADIOLOGIST (REPORTING)

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Radiologist to interpret diagnostic imaging studies and generate accurate, timely medical reports. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic reports across multiple imaging modalities while ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, Ultrasound (USG), CT, MRI, Mammography, and Doppler studies.
- Generate clear, accurate, and clinically relevant diagnostic reports within defined turnaround times (TAT).
- Correlate imaging findings with patient clinical history to provide meaningful diagnoses.
- Perform and supervise contrast studies and interventional procedures where applicable.
- Ensure quality control of images and flag repeat/inadequate studies to technicians.
- Consult with referring physicians on findings, differential diagnoses, and further recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with PC-PNDT Act, AERB radiation safety norms, and applicable statutory regulations.
- Review and validate reports prepared by junior radiologists/residents, if any.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records as per centre and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- MD / DNB / DMRD in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council (Bihar).
- Proficiency in interpreting multi-modality imaging studies.
Experience
- Freshers with strong reporting skills to [X] years of experience (specify as per requirement).
- Prior experience in a diagnostic centre or hospital radiology department preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS and teleradiology reporting platforms.
- Attention to detail and commitment to report accuracy.
- Good communication skills for physician and patient consultation.
- Ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
Regulatory & Compliance Requirements
- Adherence to PC-PNDT Act (mandatory for USG reporting).
- Compliance with AERB radiation safety guidelines.
- Ethical and confidential handling of patient data.
