ABOUT STRATUM DEFENSE TECHNOLOGY
Stratum Defense Technology LLP is an Indian defence technology company building autonomous systems for the Indian armed forces. We are at the founding stage, developing India's first indigenous autonomous undersea vehicle and Aerospace vertical under the iDEX ADITI 4 programme. NSTL Visakhapatnam (DRDO) has issued a formal Letter of Support for our application.
We are headquartered in New Delhi . The people joining now will be present at every significant programme milestone.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will own the electrical power architecture across our autonomous platforms: power distribution, power conditioning, vehicle harness, signal integrity, power integrity, and Electromagnetic Compatibility to defence standards. Our platforms run from high-power propulsion down to ultra-low-power dormancy, so the work is designing power systems that hold up across a wide dynamic range and a full operating envelope. The same discipline serves every platform we build, which is why this is a single shared seat rather than one per programme.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design Direct Current power distribution architecture: bus topology, fault isolation, load shedding, and power budget
- Define the power interface to the battery system and coordinate with the Battery Management System engineer who owns the pack
- Design power conditioning and source integration across operating modes
- Design the vehicle electrical harness to defence connector and wiring standards
- Perform power integrity analysis: Power Delivery Network impedance, transient response, and ripple margin across all load states
- Perform signal integrity analysis: controlled impedance routing, differential pair management, and Electromagnetic Interference coupling between power and signal domains
- Develop and maintain the power budget across all platform operating modes
- Support MIL-STD-461G Electromagnetic Compatibility compliance from architecture through qualification
---
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Technology or Master of Technology in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Power electronics and Direct Current distribution design: converters, fault isolation, load management
- Signal integrity and power integrity: Power Delivery Network design, controlled impedance, Electromagnetic Interference coupling analysis
- Electrical harness design experience in a vehicle, defence, or aerospace context
- Defence-grade connector and wiring practice
---
BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE
- MIL-STD-461G Electromagnetic Compatibility design and test
- SPICE or equivalent Power Delivery Network simulation
- IPC-2141 or IPC-2221 printed circuit board design standards
- Low-power system design and quiescent current management
- Marine, aerospace, or pressure-rated electrical system design
- Background with a defence electronics organisation, space agency, or research laboratory
---
WHAT WE OFFER
- Work on a programme that does not exist anywhere else in India
- Direct access to NSTL Visakhapatnam test facilities and DRDO research community
- Salary Rs 4-9 LPA benchmarked to Chennai defence-adjacent market
- Hybrid working with flexibility outside critical programme milestones
