Looking for an experienced HR Generalist – Manager to lead end-to-end HR operations with a strong emphasis on payroll processing, statutory compliance, and HRIS management. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who combines generalist breadth (employee lifecycle, policy, employee relations) with deep expertise in payroll accuracy, labour law compliance, and HR systems — particularly GreytHR.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management:
- Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll inputs — new joiners, exits, salary revisions, attendance, leave, reimbursements, loans/advances, one time payments, and full & final settlements.
- Reconcile payroll data with finance/accounts before disbursement; coordinate bank file uploads and salary disbursal.
- Generate and distribute payslips, Form 16, and other payroll-related documents.
- Handle payroll-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, Gratuity, and Bonus Act requirements.
- Manage timely statutory filings, challans, and returns (PF/ESI/PT monthly & annual returns).
- Stay updated on changes in labour laws, Shops & Establishment Act, and applicable state/central regulations; assess and implement impact on policies and payroll. Liaise with auditors, statutory bodies, and consultants for audits, inspections, and assessments.
- Maintain compliance trackers/dashboards and ensure zero-default status across all statutory obligations.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for compliance audits (internal and external).
HRIS / GreytHR Management:
- Serve as the primary system owner/admin for GreytHR (or equivalent HRMS) — data accuracy and process flow.
- Manage employee master data, attendance, leave, and payroll modules within the system.
- Generate HR MIS reports, payroll reports, and compliance reports from GreytHR for management review.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with the vendor for upgrades, integrations, or fixes.
- Drive process improvements and automation to reduce manual intervention in payroll and compliance workflows.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Manage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, transfers, exits, and full & final settlement.
- Draft, update, and implement HR policies in line with statutory and organizational requirements.
- Support employee relations — grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and policy clarifications.
- Coordinate performance management cycles, including data tracking and reporting.
- Partner with Finance on cost-to-company (CTC) structuring, budgeting, and payroll cost analysis.
- Support internal/external HR audits and ensure documentation readiness at all times.
Experience: 3–5 years in HR Generalist roles, with at least 1–2 years focused on payroll and statutory compliance.
Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of GreytHR (payroll, attendance, leave, and reporting modules) — mandatory.
◦ Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, payroll reconciliation). ◦ Familiarity with other HRMS/payroll tools is a plus.
Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and other applicable labour laws.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
