About the Role
ESP is looking for a proactive Junior Business Development Executive to build and manage a high-quality outbound lead pipeline. This role is focused on identifying the right companies and decision-makers, and initiating the first conversation — not on mass outreach. You'll work closely with the Business Development Manager to convert research into real, qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research funded startups and scaling companies using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, and other research platforms
- Identify key decision-makers (Founders, CTOs, Product Heads, Engineering Managers) through LinkedIn and databases
- Build Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)-based lead lists aligned with target industries
- Identify company pain points, funding activity, and expansion plans before outreach
- Send personalized first-level outreach messages (LinkedIn and email)
- Handle initial follow-ups across LinkedIn and email
- Schedule meetings and discovery calls, coordinating timing and details with the manager
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead data in the CRM
KPIs You'll Own
- Daily lead research targets (via Sales Navigator)
- Volume of personalized outreach sent
- Response rate tracking
- Quality of lead qualification
What We're Looking For
- Strong research skills — comfortable digging into company websites, news, and funding databases
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Clear written communication in English; able to write concise, personalized outreach
- Basic understanding of IT services, SaaS, or startup ecosystems is a plus
- Organized and detail-oriented; comfortable maintaining CRM hygiene
- Self-starter who can work independently once given a target industry or ICP
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, you're consistently delivering a steady stream of well-researched, relevant leads that convert into qualified conversations for the sales team — not just a high volume of names.
