Job Summary:
As a Sr. Integration Consultant, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and delivering complex integrations for UKG customers using Proprietary XML associated tools / technologies. You will serve as Technical SME, providing guidance to junior build consultants, and partner with Regional, Consultants and Project Managers to deliver scalable and robust integration solutions. This role requires leadership in solutioning, mentoring, and customer engagement.
Primary/ Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex integration solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert in XML builds and integrations on UKG solutions.
- Engage with Regional Consultants, customers, and vendors to understand business requirements and propose optimized integration solutions.
- Review and validate IDDs & refinements to ensure build readiness & top notch build quality.
- Review and validate integration code and deliverables by junior build consultants on need basis.
- Provide accurate effort estimates for complex builds.
- Provide UAT support to customers during testing / Hypercare period.
- Flexible for taking calls during customer-specific time zones with the Regional Consultants & directly working with Customers whenever required.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer to the new joiners in the team.
- Ensure adherence to UKG methodologies and enforce best practices within team.
- Be available to support customer escalations during critical timelines.
- Support Customer Go-Lives and provide end-to-end support from build to testing phases.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in integration development / consulting or equivalent roles.
- Deep expertise with XML Builds including connectors, profiles, process design, mappings, transformations, and error handling.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting complex integration processes.
- Strong understanding of Benefits carrier integrations and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards.
- Hands-on experience with ANSI X12 Benefits transaction processing and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience managing customer escalations.
- Advanced knowledge of:
o EDI 834 Benefit Enrolment transactions
o EDI 270/271 Eligibility transactions
o EDI 835 Remittance Advice transactions
o Data mapping and transformation methodologies
o APIs, REST/SOAP services, XML, JSON, and file-based integrations
o Secure integration transmission methods including SFTP and API-based connectivity
- Proven experience designing and deploying complex, large-scale integration solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
- Strong understanding of HCM/Benefits domain is a plus.
- AI-native mindset and comfortable working alongside generative AI tools to streamline workflows, brainstorm concepts, and enhance day-to-day productivity.
- Shift Timing: 3 PM to 12 AM IST
