We are looking for an experienced and engaging German Language Trainer to help students develop practical German language skills for academic, professional, and career opportunities.
About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time German Language Trainer with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in teaching or training German.
The trainer will be responsible for delivering structured, interactive, and practical German language training covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and everyday communication.
The ideal candidate should be able to teach German in a simple and engaging manner, provide practical conversational activities, and help learners build confidence in using the language in real-world situations.
The ability to communicate effectively in Telugu is mandatory, along with proficiency in English and German.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive German language training sessions.
- Teach German language fundamentals, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence formation.
- Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Conduct practical conversational exercises and role plays.
- Help students develop confidence in everyday German communication.
- Explain German grammar concepts in a simple and student-friendly manner.
- Teach commonly used German words, phrases, expressions, and professional vocabulary.
- Provide practical exercises for pronunciation and listening comprehension.
- Guide students in reading and understanding basic German texts.
- Train learners to write grammatically correct German sentences and short communications.
- Introduce learners to German culture, etiquette, and communication practices where relevant.
- Use interactive activities, discussions, quizzes, presentations, and practical assignments.
- Provide real-world examples and situations to improve language application.
- Assess learner progress through assignments, activities, tests, and speaking exercises.
- Provide constructive feedback and individual guidance to improve learner performance.
- Support students in preparing for relevant German language proficiency examinations, where applicable.
- Deliver explanations and learner support in Telugu wherever required to ensure effective understanding.
- Keep training content updated according to current language-learning practices and learner requirements.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in German language teaching, training, translation, or related areas.
- Strong command of the German language with excellent speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Strong understanding of German grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure.
- Ability to conduct practical German conversation and communication activities.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Fluency in Telugu is mandatory.
- Ability to explain German concepts clearly in Telugu and English when required.
- Strong presentation and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage learners through interactive and activity-based teaching methods.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods according to different learner levels.
- Good understanding of German culture and communication etiquette.
- Comfortable conducting online training using digital teaching tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in German Language, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Relevant German language certification such as Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, DSH, or equivalent will be preferred.
- B2/C1/C2-level German proficiency is preferred.
- Prior experience as a German Language Trainer, German Faculty, Language Instructor, Corporate Trainer, or German Teacher.
- Experience preparing students for German language proficiency examinations will be an advantage.
- Experience teaching students from Telugu-speaking backgrounds will be preferred.
