About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Furniture Technical Designer who understands furniture manufacturing from concept to production.
Your job is to convert furniture photos, customer references, or design ideas into accurate technical drawings and guide our production team on how the product should be manufactured.
You will work closely with the carpentry, upholstery, stitching, foam, and finishing teams to ensure every product is manufactured correctly.
ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Drawings
- Convert reference images into production-ready technical drawings.
- Create detailed drawings with dimensions.
- Prepare front, side, top, sectional, and exploded views where required.
- Decide construction methods for sofas, beds, dining tables, wardrobes, and other furniture.
Production Planning
- Explain technical drawings to carpenters.
- Guide sofa makers and stitching masters.
- Specify wood frame construction.
- Decide foam thickness and density.
- Suggest fabric usage.
- Recommend hardware and fittings.
- Reduce production mistakes and material wastage.
Product Development
- Develop new furniture models.
- Improve existing designs.
- Optimize furniture for mass manufacturing.
- Ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales Team.
- Coordinate with Factory Supervisor.
- Coordinate with Production Team.
- Coordinate with QC Team.
Quality Control
- Ensure final products match approved drawings.
- Solve production problems.
- Inspect prototypes.
- Approve final production.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in furniture manufacturing.
Strong understanding of:
- Sofa Manufacturing
- Bed Manufacturing

- Wooden Furniture Construction
- Upholstery
- Foam
- Stitching
- Hardware
Software Skills:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- SolidWorks (Preferred)
- Fusion 360 (Preferred)

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
