Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated OT Network Engineer (L1) to support our industrial network infrastructure. The candidate will assist in implementing and maintaining firewalls, SCADA systems and ensuring basic operational continuity in OT environments. This role requires frequent travelling to the plants for network activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of SCADA servers, desktops, and network devices (including routers, switches, and firewalls) across multiple site locations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and adherence to industry standards.

Perform basic troubleshooting for SCADA systems and OT network connectivity issues.

Ensure network security best practices in collaboration with IT & OT Security team.

Monitor firewall logs and raise alerts for anomalies.

Track network changes, ensure change management process is followed. Regularly maintain and update documentation related to network architecture.

Track/maintain documentation related to license expiry and renewals, asset details.

Ensure the network infrastructure is aligned with the existing IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for L1-level support and issue escalation.

Follow SOPs for all the updates/upgrades in OT environments.

Undertake mandatory travel to site locations for new projects and for ongoing projects, ensuring timely and efficient deployment and support.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Basic understanding of SCADA network architecture / IT network architecture and OT protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.).

Familiarity with firewall technologies (FortiGate, Sophos, Palo Alto, or equivalent).

Good understanding of IP networking (VLANs, subnetting, routing basics).

Exposure to industrial automation systems is a plus.

Willingness to work in plant/industrial environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
